Situated at the intersection of historical charm and stunning natural spaces is the vibrant city of Roswell, Georgia. Located in the northern suburban corridor of Atlanta, Roswell is a city with modern spirit and Southern soul.

The city is named after Roswell King, a businessman from Connecticut who opened Roswell Mill along Vickery Creek in the mid-1830s for the purpose of producing cotton textiles (and later, flour and wool). After steady expansions of the mill over several years, the city was officially incorporated on February 16, 1854.
